Eating Disorders Victoria love hearing about how our supporters are reppin’ us in the community and fundraising to support our mission, to provide information, community education and advocacy for people with eating disorders and their families in Victoria.

Check out some of the fundraising activities happening over the next few months.

 7 Peaks 7 Days

In November 2017, seven passionate cyclists are taking on a massive challenge, riding 7 Peaks in 7 Days, to raise money for Eating Disorders Victoria and break down societal stigma around eating disorders.

The team, including two who have lived experience with eating disorders, will be conquering seven Victorian mountains known as the 7 Peaks ride - Mt Baw Baw, Lake Mountain, Mt Buller, Mt Buffalo, Falls Creek, Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham – in just seven days!

Keep an eye out here as they train (and fundraise) like crazy over the coming months!

Feed the Bear campaign

Ryder the Hiker could have picked anywhere to go on his first overseas trip but he knows the journey to recovery isn’t always sunshine and mojitos. In fact, Ryder has chosen an adventure that represents the journey that individuals, their families and their friends go through during eating disorder recovery – a trek to Everest base camp.

Everest base camp is no small feat at 5,364 metres above sea level! So Ryder will need all the support he can get for the physical and emotional challenges that he will face on his journey.

Ryder and his family, EDV volunteer Rikki, are tackling this trek to support Eating Disorders Victoria. Every dollar donated to the Feed the Bear campaign will support Eating Disorder Victoria’s programs. Plus, the more dollars’ donated equals cuter pictures of him on his journey.

Julia Montesano – Melbourne Marathon

Even a small donation will go a long way to help both men and women on their own journey to recovery and really, let’s just give Julia a huge round of applause for highlighting that recovery is possible.
