EDV recently held a morning tea at Parliment House on Wednesday 23 August with the Minister for Mental Health Martin Foley.

We were also joined by members from both sides of Parliament, Government officials, CEO's of other sector organisations, EDV staff and volunteers and stakeholders closely connected with EDV.

The morning-tea was an opportunity for EDV to highlight our Peer Mentoring Program and hear from Peer Mentors Gareth and Alice who shared their personal stories with their own struggles with an eating disorder.

The event had over 80 people in the room and it was a great opportunity to network and talk about eating disorders.

Minister Foley was very complimentary about EDV and said our Peer Mentoring Program, commenting that "lived experience, speaks like no other experience".

EDV would like to thank everyone who attended the event and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
