Director - Board Member 

About the role

The EDV Board comprises up to 9 members with substantial skills and expertise, drawn from the corporate, private, public and community sectors. The Board members work in a voluntary capacity to provide strategic oversight and governance in line with EDV’s mission.

We have a vacancy on the board due to the recent resignation of a long serving member. EDV is now seeking a director who ideally has worked in an eating disorders service, preferably as a senior clinician with leadership responsibilities.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and strong relationship building capabilities. Knowledge of the community and/or health sector is an advantage but not a prerequisite. The board member will be expected to attend all board meetings, lead the clinical governance subcommittee, and support the strategic plan of the organisation.

The time commitment will be 8 hours/mth.

Client Services Manager

• Full time, 12-month contract (Maternity leave)
• Work for a leader in the eating disorder sector
• Multidisciplinary team
• Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation and salary sacrifice arrangements

About the role:
Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV) is seeking a motivated, organised and skilled Manager to oversee the services and support provided to people with eating disorders and their families and friends. This position is full time and based at the EDV offices in Abbotsford.

Key accountabilities include:
• Managing the development, promotion, delivery and quality improvement of EDV’s information and support programs.
• Supervision of staff, contractors and volunteers.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clinical service providers, mental health networks and the community.
• Day to day operations of the EDV office and team meetings.
• Siting on the executive, providing leadership to the organisation.

About you:
To excel in this role, you will have a background working in mental health, have staff management experience, be an effective communicator, well organised and have a high attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of eating disorders and the system that it sits within. You will be motivated and a self-starter who can work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Patient Pathways Telehealth Case Management Nurse 

• Part time, 0.4EFT, 3 year contract
• Work for a leader in the eating disorder sector
• Multidisciplinary team

About the role:
Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV) is partnering with Centre for Community-Driven Research for their Telehealth Nurse pilot to support people with eating disorders and their families and friends. The Nurse will provide case management to clients via the telephone to increase access to services, connect with research and support recovery.

This position is part time (0.4EFT) and based at the EDV offices in Abbotsford.

Key accountabilities include:
• Assist clients to navigate the healthcare system to access supports and services available to them.
• Support client empowerment through education and information provision.
• Support continuity of care with families and friends following hospital admissions or discharge from intensive day programs.
• Participate in data collection, health outcomes reporting and program evaluation and continuous improvement related to the Patient Pathways pilot.

About you:
EDV is searching for a Nurse with a background working in eating disorders or mental health. To excel in this role, you will hold AHPRA registration, have high level verbal and written communication skills, be organised, motivated and can work both autonomously and collaboratively.
