About the role:

Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV) is recruiting for someone with energy and enthusiasm to join the Communications team.

This role is responsible for using EDV’s communications and marketing tools to support the current strategic plan, promote EDV services and support the Communications Manager and other EDV teams in day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the mental health sector and a strong commitment to EDV’s guiding principles of respect, acceptance and hope.

The role is for two days a week. Days worked are negotiable.

The position reports to the Communications Manager.

About you:

We are looking for someone who is either studying communications or marketing, or who is early in their career and looking for the next step. You will have a can-do attitude and be willing to bring new ideas to the table to get great results. You will have initiative to ‘own’ the role and be accountable for areas of responsibility.

EDV provides a comprehensive support and information service on all aspects of eating disorders. EDV incorporates a unique approach to the provision of clinical and non-clinical support services through a blend of qualified professionals and lived experience of employees and volunteers. The approach and services provided by EDV have a direct impact on the mental health and wellbeing of thousands of Victorians every year.

Employee benefits:

Salaries and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award – 2010, Level 3.

In addition to the hourly rate, generous salary sacrifice arrangements apply.

Director - Board Member

About the role

The EDV Board comprises up to 9 members with substantial skills and expertise, drawn from the corporate, private, public and community sectors. The Board members work in a voluntary capacity to provide strategic oversight and governance in line with EDV’s mission.

We have a vacancy on the board due to the recent resignation of a long serving member. EDV is now seeking a director who ideally has worked in an eating disorders service, preferably as a senior clinician with leadership responsibilities.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and strong relationship building capabilities. Knowledge of the community and/or health sector is an advantage but not a prerequisite. The board member will be expected to attend all board meetings, lead the clinical governance subcommittee, and support the strategic plan of the organisation.

The time commitment will be 8 hours/mth.

All board members are required to be paid members of EDV.
