An Eating Disorders Resource for Health Professionals

This manual was developed by the Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) as health professionals play a crucial role in early recognition and ongoing management of eating disorders.

An Eating Disorders Resource for Health Professionals provides a comprehensive introduction to eating disorders. It was designed for health professionals wanting to know more about the early identification, assessment and treatment of eating disorders in a variety of health management fields, including:

� General practitioners
� Pediatricians
� Dieticians
� Mental health workers (including counsellors, psychologists and psychiatrists)
� Nurses
� Allied health practitioners

The information provided in this booklet was compiled with input from several health professionals working across the field of health management, while touching on findings from current literature. The 170-page manual provides information in the following categories:
