How We Can Help

Eating Disorders Victoria has a wide range of support services available to assist people at any stage of their eating disorder or recovery.


Recovery Support Officer
  • Are you pre-occupied with food or your body image?
  • Have you recently been diagnosed with an eating disorder?
  • Are you recovered but feel like you're slipping back into old habits?

If you can relate to any of these comments you may find it helpful to talk to our Recovery Support Officer who can relate to your struggles, will listen to your unique situation and support you in finding a pathway to recovery.

EDV provides face-to-face or telephone sessions to assist people in their recovery from an eating disorder free of charge. Our Recovery Support Officer will discuss your personal situation with you and provide strategies and ideas to support you in your recovery efforts. Whether you’re at the first stage of acknowledging you have an eating disorder or are firmly recovered and are in need of a little extra support in maintaining your recovery, EDV’s Recovery Support Officer can be of benefit to you.

Recovery Support Groups
Eating Disorders Victoria provides a number of Recovery Support Groups for people with an eating disorder who have already taken steps toward recovery. Support groups provide an opportunity for people experiencing an eating disorder to discuss and share their experiences and recovery-focused strategies in a safe and supportive environment. Servicing People Across Victoria
We aim to deliver our services so as to deliver to people across Victoria regardless of geographical distance:
  • Our Recovery Support Officer service is available via phone sessions to clients across Victoria
  • Library resources can be mailed out upon request
  • The EDV online recovery forums provide an opportunity for people across different geographical locations to connect and communicate.

All support services provided by EDV are confidential and free.
