Education and Training

Education and community awareness is a vital part of Eating Disorders Victoria role as the primary source of support, information, community education and advocacy for people with eating disorders and their families in Victoria.

Our Education Officer works with schools, universities, fitness professionals, coaches, health workers, the fashion industry and the general community  via the provision of various professional development talks, small group discussions and workshops to raise the awareness of the important issues surrounding eating disorders and body image.

Workshops, presentations and groups are run by EDV-trained presenters and are tailored to specific audiences based on the individual needs and requests of our clients. Most workshops will cover the following content:
  • Types of eating disorders
  • Warning signs
  • Risk Factors
  • Treatment options and recovery
  • Intervention
  • Prevention
Other content areas can be included after discussion with the Education Officer.

Fees apply for professional development programs and some speaker engagements.
For further information contact the Education Officer, Naomi Crafti on 9885 6563 ext: 806 or via email at: naomi.crafti@eatingdisorders.org.au
