Project 3:

LaTrobe Uni seeking volunteers for study

The Mental Health Research Institute & Victoria & La Trobe University are seeking volunteers aged 16-40 years who have a current diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa to participate in a study looking at important factors which may contribute to the formation of beliefs that are common to the illness.

Participation will be over two sessions. Session one will involve a shirt interview and brief questionnaires. Session two is optional and will involve computer-based activities.

Project 4:

Mindfullness Based Therapy for Binge Eating Disorder. As part of her doctoral degree Rebecca is currently seeking women, between 18 & 55 years of age who are experiencing binge eating problems to participate in a mindfullness-based therapy program. If you or someone you know, are looking for help for binge eating concerns, and would like to find out more about the therapy and its evaluation, please contact at or 9214 5528 to obtain an information oack.

Project 5:

Carers of individuals with eating disorder: Family & Friends

Kerri Coomber (PhD) student researcher in the School of Psychology, Deaking University is looking for carers (over the age of 18) of people who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder who may be interested in participating in a 9 month study. You will complete a questionnaire on 3 occasions.

Mindfulness and readiness to binge eat: A qualitative study of two mental states.

If you think you have a problem with binge eating or bulimia, and you also attend to complete the moderate eating group (MEG) programme run by the Swinburne Psychology Clinic in 2008, then we would like you to consider participating in this study and we warmly invite you to consider contacting us to find out how to do this.
